Santa came to visit and the boys had a great time! Jonathan really got into opening his gifts this year. He had so much fun tearing off the paper and peeking inside of the bags. He got tons of Thomas stuff and lots of Hot Wheels. Merry Christmas!!

Scarry Santa!
Obviously, it wasn't a scarry Santa at all, but Jonathan sure thought so. This is as close as he got and at this point, he really didn't have a choice. Some people at the mall the week earlier told me that his age wasn't a great "Santa year". I would have to agree. We went to the Stowe Botanical Gardens again this year. Ethan was comfortable, he didn't even wake up. Maybe we will get good pictures of the boys with Santa next year. At least they were dressed really cute and behaved so good! We had a good time anyways.

Whoo Whoo
If anyone is wondering what Jonathan wants for Christmas this year, I would say that anything Thomas the Train. He is slightly obsessed right now. From the moment he wakes up in the morning he wants to watch his Thomas video. He has a pair of Thomas PJs that he wants to wear every night and sometimes during the day too! As you can see in the picture he is holding his Thomas train. Even though he doesn't really talk much, you know he likes Thomas the Train because he walks around saying Whoo Whoo all day! Too cute!!

Guess the baby!
Everyone thinks my boys look completely different. I disagree. There are times that they look identical. Here is a little game I will post from time to time, called guess the baby. Can anyone tell which baby is which?? And, yes, I realize that they each have a funny look on their face. What can I say, I think this is the "I have to poop face" :)
Great Dad!
Matt is a great dad! We really had a great weekend with the boys. Matt shot off a model rocket for Jonathan early Saturday morning, which was met with mixed reviews. Jonathan cried at first and then was excited to watch the paraschute come down from the sky. Basically, it was more for Matt and Jonathan. We also took the boys to a Hobby/Toy store, where Jonathan spent 45 minutes playing with Thomas the Train toys. (hint hint for Christmas, anything Thomas will do!!) It was a great weekend and these are just a few pictures to prove my point. By the way, check out Ethan's cheeks!! I feed him well :)

Big Boys!
Yesterday we too both boys to the doctor's office for regular check ups. It was Ethan's 4 week (at 5 weeks old) appt. and Jonathan's 18 month appointment. Yes, we are crazy for doing both appointments at the same time, but I had Matt to help. Plus, we didn't want to make another trip all the way out to Matthews for two separate appointments (we still drive 45 minutes to our Pediatrician because she is awesome).
Jonathan was 24 pounds and 33 inches tall. She was very proud of his accomplishments. She agrees that he may not be talking up a storm right now, but he IS VERY smart:) Jonathan got 4 shots!! He was really upset at first, but then we went to lunch and Target to get some more cars and he got over it!
Ethan was 8 pounds and 11 ounces and 21 inches long. She said that he looked perfect! No shots for Ethan on this visit, but next one will be rough for him.
Everyone, including myself is feeling great. The boys are getting bigger by the day and for the first time in a long time, I am not.

1 month!
Saturday, Ethan turned 1 month old! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It only feels like it has been a month at 3am when I can't get him to go back to sleep! He is such a sweet baby. the night sleeping is getting a little better. Matt and I are taking shifts sleeping downstairs and letting the other person actually sleep. Ethan is still snoring and grunting like a baby elephant, but it is getting better too. We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and we will post all of his new stats. But for now, here he is playing on the floor yesterday. What a happy little man:)

A Very Happy Halloween!
Halloween was so much fun for Jonathan. We took him to the Trunk or Treat at Matt's parent's church and he really enjoyed picking out his candy! He was dressed as a doctor from Georgia, of course and Ethan was a zebra. When we got home we walked to the neighbor's house for more candy. Jonathan ate some candy for the first time when we got home and then bounced around the livingroom for a while afterwards. He really liked answering the door every time the doorbell rang too! As you can tell by the pictures, it was a successful day!!

What do I want to be when I grow up?
The Best Big Brother!!
Culinary Master??
Jonathan has been busy being a great big brother. He loves to give Ethan kisses all day long. When he is not busy giving kisses, he is busy trying to decide what he wants to be when he grows up! Basically, "helping" mommy out around the house. He getting to be such a big boy. Which do you think would suit him best??

1 week
Yesterday, Ethan was 1 week old! And yes, we have all survived the first week with all of our hair. He is eating great and gaining weight. His jaundice is improving every day and he IS sleeping at night. We usually get up 2-3 times during the night, which could always be worse. We are all happy and healthy! Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers!!

A family of four!
Finally home! We were discharged on Friday from the hospital and came home as a happy family of four. Everyone is still adjusting to feedings, sleeping and sharing of time. Jonathan is doing so well. At first he was really not interested in Ethan and just wanted our attention. Today he acted more interested and even kissed Ethan's toes. Right now we are tired but still one big happy family!!

Being a pregnant mom
Being a pregnant mom hasn't always been very easy. Especially now that my belly is HUGE and Jonathan still wants me to carry him around. I am not complaining, I am going to miss these days at some point. At least in a couple of weeks, my belly wont be in the way as much! But, how could you not want to pick up this sweet little man and snuggle him all day long??

Almost...
So... sweet!
We went to the park on Monday. Jonathan and Caleb had so much fun! When they went walking into the grass they insisted on holding hands. They walked around, one of them leading the other. It was so cute! Plus, we didn't plan it, but they are wearing the same shirt. The weather was perfect; fall is great!!

Monday mornings!!
Monday mornings can be difficult for a lot of people. The problem is, not everyone starts off their day like Jonathan. Example: Lounging in his chair, PJ's still on, milk in one hand and Froot-Loops in the other. Watching one of his favorite movies about barnyard animals. Please ignore the dried booger pasted to his forehead from last night, it is too early to fight him while I wipe it off. But, if everyone got up early enough to do this before work, the day would be much better. Take this as a lesson from a 17 month old.
