Sunday we went Christmas tree hunting at the Cedar Lake Farm in Iron Station. Jonathan had so much fun!! There was a huge mountain of hay and he played so hard. We found the perfect tree and even got some hot chocolate:)

Whoo Whoo

If anyone is wondering what Jonathan wants for Christmas this year, I would say that anything Thomas the Train. He is slightly obsessed right now. From the moment he wakes up in the morning he wants to watch his Thomas video. He has a pair of Thomas PJs that he wants to wear every night and sometimes during the day too! As you can see in the picture he is holding his Thomas train. Even though he doesn't really talk much, you know he likes Thomas the Train because he walks around saying Whoo Whoo all day! Too cute!!

Guess the baby!

Everyone thinks my boys look completely different. I disagree. There are times that they look identical. Here is a little game I will post from time to time, called guess the baby. Can anyone tell which baby is which?? And, yes, I realize that they each have a funny look on their face. What can I say, I think this is the "I have to poop face" :)

Great Dad!

Matt is a great dad! We really had a great weekend with the boys. Matt shot off a model rocket for Jonathan early Saturday morning, which was met with mixed reviews. Jonathan cried at first and then was excited to watch the paraschute come down from the sky. Basically, it was more for Matt and Jonathan. We also took the boys to a Hobby/Toy store, where Jonathan spent 45 minutes playing with Thomas the Train toys. (hint hint for Christmas, anything Thomas will do!!) It was a great weekend and these are just a few pictures to prove my point. By the way, check out Ethan's cheeks!! I feed him well :)

We are teaching Jonathan to smile on command. He is doing a really good job, don't you think? Check out all of those teeth!

Big Boys!

Yesterday we too both boys to the doctor's office for regular check ups. It was Ethan's 4 week (at 5 weeks old) appt. and Jonathan's 18 month appointment. Yes, we are crazy for doing both appointments at the same time, but I had Matt to help. Plus, we didn't want to make another trip all the way out to Matthews for two separate appointments (we still drive 45 minutes to our Pediatrician because she is awesome).

Jonathan was 24 pounds and 33 inches tall. She was very proud of his accomplishments. She agrees that he may not be talking up a storm right now, but he IS VERY smart:) Jonathan got 4 shots!! He was really upset at first, but then we went to lunch and Target to get some more cars and he got over it!

Ethan was 8 pounds and 11 ounces and 21 inches long. She said that he looked perfect! No shots for Ethan on this visit, but next one will be rough for him.

Everyone, including myself is feeling great. The boys are getting bigger by the day and for the first time in a long time, I am not.

Smart man!

Jonathan may not talk much, but he is so... smart!! He know the names of all 50 cars!

1 month!

Saturday, Ethan turned 1 month old! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It only feels like it has been a month at 3am when I can't get him to go back to sleep! He is such a sweet baby. the night sleeping is getting a little better. Matt and I are taking shifts sleeping downstairs and letting the other person actually sleep. Ethan is still snoring and grunting like a baby elephant, but it is getting better too. We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and we will post all of his new stats. But for now, here he is playing on the floor yesterday. What a happy little man:)

A Very Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun for Jonathan. We took him to the Trunk or Treat at Matt's parent's church and he really enjoyed picking out his candy! He was dressed as a doctor from Georgia, of course and Ethan was a zebra. When we got home we walked to the neighbor's house for more candy. Jonathan ate some candy for the first time when we got home and then bounced around the livingroom for a while afterwards. He really liked answering the door every time the doorbell rang too! As you can tell by the pictures, it was a successful day!!
